My Story
From Phoenix, Arizona, Angelina Avila has been involved in music since age 8 when she learned to play. By studying with very accomplished jazz instructors at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music, she also studied with other teachers and directors at The Nash, a local jazz venue. Her career as a musician in the valley began at age 14 when she discovered jazz, in which she would dive into the R&B scene two years later.
Angelina has played with many musicians in variety of genres at night clubs, festivals, casinos, local music venues, and out of state arenas or theaters. As she advances, the opportunities continually grow in ways whereas she has been able to perform with several artists including Les Paul Roque - whom serves as a major mentor in her musical life. This has opened doors to be able to share stages with Euge Groove, Michael Lington, NILS, Paul Taylor, Eric Darius, Tom Browne and Barbara Mason. Currently, Angelina Avila performs as a freelance musician mainly in Phoenix, along with recording, collaborations, and creating with others alike.
